Shortly about myself and about the books...
AudioBooks.ua store was founded and began operations in early 2004, namely - March 3, 2004 - was opened on the site www.audiobooks.ua
In 2006, after studying the demand and selection parameters audiobooks Ukrainian customers, we opened a new division - publisher of audiobooks "AudioPlanet". In June of that year, the came the first audiobook released by us - "Eneїda" by Іvan Kotlyarevs‘ky.
Website was created in order to make the world more accessible books in your life, to diversify its colorful literary works, to enrich the unique knowledge, to allow the books once again actively involved in raising children, and whether it is possible to enumerate all the nice features which encompasses book?

Недавно вышла в свет аудиоверсия романа Александра Турчинова «Иллюзия страха». Литературный дебют известного украинского политика состоялся пять лет назад, и первый тираж книги продается до сих пор — по информации «k:», за это время допечатки не было. И аудиокнига появилась не на волне популярности романа Турчинова (это обычная практика), а как продукт, сопровождающий фильм «Иллюзия страха».

Один мой знакомый впервые услышал этот термин в фильме «Склеенные», где в разговоре героев Бена Аффлека и Грега Киннера упоминается аудиокнига. Заинтересовавшись, товарищ нашел подобное в Интернете и уже, насколько я знаю, перестал читать книги. Теперь он их слушает.

О том, когда появились первые аудиокниги, их поклонники неустанно спорят годами. Многие считают, что прототип первой аудиокниги появился в 1933 году, когда антрополог Дж. Харрингтон (J. P. Harrington) записал истории и легенды, которые рассказывали в индейских племенах. На самом деле, это была всего лишь фиксация устной традиции, мало чем отличавшаяся от записи на бумагу, скажем, гомеровской «Илиады». Примерно в то же время была принята программа Конгресса США по подготовке и рассылке слепым экзотических на тот момент «озвученных книг». К слову, эта программа в США действует до сих пор.
